Hearing from more GA communities disappointed with the PSC. Their pole attachment rates and rules stifle broadband deployment planned in 2021. Government raised costs again. Time to call our legislators — legislature starts Monday! We want broadband — NOT expensive wooden poles!

Trying to understand Georgia PSC pole attachment and broadband deployment action? Found this article. Seems decision increases pole rent costs across state & allows for a temporary $1 for new attachments in unserved areas for 6 years. Missed Opportunity? http://capitol-beat.org/2020/12/georgia-psc-adopts-two-tiered-rates-for-broadband-utility-pole-attachments/

Disappointing result at the Georgia Public Service Commission for all of Georgia. Raising costs on broadband deployment seems to cut against deploying the broadband opportunities envisioned by the legislature when they passed HB 244. We were hopeful. Missed opportunity indeed! https://t.co/6tJgz0IoNM
